Jill Bliss is a designer and artist based out of San Francisco California. Her work is a blend of affordable small run stylish goods crafted from sustainable, eco-friendly materials.

Check out her darling posters, pocket pals, and books on the blissen site - she is always a constant source of inspiration to me for beautiful color combinations and a strong unique expression of nature.

Grace from Design*Sponge did a great podcast with her, and here is a favorite link of mine to a mural she created on the side of another great store in San Francisco - Doe, whose website she also designed.

Paper + Cup = Love

I am in love - again - as always. I spent the later part of last week at the stationery show. The lovely ladies, Joy of Oh Joy and Grace of Design*Sponge wrote great posts on the people and work that caught their eye. For me it was great to get a chance to meet the people that create the paper goods that are near and dear to my heart.

A favorite of mine for so long is Paper + Cup, their work is adorable and Minhee is really nice and a pleasure to talk to. Check out her design studio/shop for smart designs that are the perfect balance of color, scale and purpose. I fell over when I saw the Old School Mailers and they are finally available for purchase on her site - I can't wait until I get mine in the mail.

Cath Kidson

I was walking down the street in Soho today and if I wasn't exhausted I would have ran right into cath kidson on Mulberry to spend the check I have yet to receive.

Cath Kidson is known for bags, stationary, fabric and other fashion pieces. They have also just launched a wedding list service - for you brides out there and have some awesome items on sale.

An adicolor comback!

Adidas introduced adicolor in 1983 as an all white leather shoe to be painted your way. It was the first true customized product and is being brought back in the next few months.

The shoes should and can be coated with a sealant before and after customization to protect and enhance the overall appearance and finish. Each pair comes with regular cream laces and pretty printed laces. One of the versions pictured below, the W1, is packaged in a wooden box with six paints.

I don't think I have ever been more excited for a pair of sneakers! Just imagine the possibilities!

All that is left to do is to allow your creativity to run free!

Cool Site: Pancake & Franks

I have been diggin' this site for awhile and have decided to use this space to archive sites, products, people and pages that I love, appreciate or am completely inspired by.

Pancake & Franks is a letterpress design studio based in San Francisco, California - they describe themselves as a "touch of urban, a dot of detail, a grain of nature, a sense of wit, a dash of play all in one." I could not agree more, there designs are exquisitely crafted, with amazing colors and attention to detail.

Cool Site/Cool Stuff: kissycake

I love bags. I love cute drawings. And I love the idea of combining them both. So I am tickled pink by this site called kissycake.

kissycake is fully of cute bags silk screened with adorable characters drawn by Kim Baxter. The designs are fun, the bags are useful and there is a choice of strap length so you can have the perfect bag to match your style.

Pixelgirl Presents: Desktop Images

As a graphic and web designer I spend most of my time on one of my two computers. The deciding factor as to what station I use, is based on whether I want to sit at a desk and use my desktop, or sit on the sofa/lie in bed and use my laptop. More times than I care to admit the laptop/sofa combination wins.

But there is one thing that is the same regardless of what computer I am working on, I want it to look inspiring and reflect my current style - whatever I am feeling at the moment and there is no quicker way to do that then to change the desktop/theme.

Pixelgirl Presents is a site by Morfia Design and is full of Mac OS X and XP desktop images, icons for your application sets and chatting needs - plus they offer tutorials, articles, links and a gallery shop full of handmade goodies.

The desktop images can be searched by category (cute, photographic, tech, urban to name a few), size or artist. They are free to download, so head over there to submit your own or snag the creation of someone else.

You and your computer will thank me!

Cool Find: Illico Design

Sometimes I just do not want to open up any mail, pay a bill or be responsible in any way, shape or form.

This adorable brushed stainless steel mail sorter, from Illico Design, can be mounted on the wall (hardware included) and will let me be responsible (well sort of) and design savvy at the same time.
