Cool Site: Pixelyn

Pixelyn is the awesome site of Danielle Huthart, a graphic designer living in Hong Kong. The site is beautiful and simple.

A few hightlights:
Typefaces:She has a bunch of great pixel like fonts and icons available - that I love and have been using for a long time. The fonts are well made and practically made to be read very small - for some reason it is hard to find a good font that can be read at a small font size.

The fonts are free and available for MAC download only.

presents for Pre

I have said that I have a love for paper, so I am spending the next year or so creating and testing new products and ideas. I plan to get a few good ideas together and start to sell them in preparation for the full business launch next summer. What better way to test new ideas/products and show the people in my life that I love them, than giving them the things that I make. Brilliant, I think!

So, for this Valentine's Day, I thought it would be great to make a notepad for Pre, it is a great size that he can throw into his bag, manly enough to take to a meeting, edgy enough to still be cool - and it is a pretty number if I can say so myself. It even has dots instead of lines so he can write, sketch or draw and all pages are perforated (by hand) so he can tear out the notes and drawings as needed.

I used my gocco for the cover, a few interior pages and a ton of lunch bags and index cards to carry the theme to completion (obsession)! I hope that it makes him happy and that he uses it up quickly - I have tons of ideas for him waiting in the wings :)
